New Website Features (Updated)
Written by: Jason Wright - Friday, October 12, 2007, 9:52 AM
Today there are a few new features on the PBL website that I wanted to point out to everyone. These changes aren't major new features but nice little things to make browsing the site easier.
- There is now a comment system on all of the news pages. You can ask questions, add information or just comment in general about the article. This feature is taking place of the message board which we has last year. You don't need to register to add a comment but you do need to fill the form out completely.
- The first one is the calendar on the home page now has end dates for conferences. Before it just showed the date that conferences began but it has been updated to show both the start and end dates. Now you can get a quick glance at what is coming up without clicking in further.
- News article titles are now links. I don't know why I didn't do this before but you can no click on a news article title to view the article.
- The header image is now a link. You can click it from anywhere in the site to get to the PBL homepage.
- All of the URL's on the site have been cleaned up. You may have noticed before as you browsed the site you would see a lot of random jumbled up mess in the address bar (ie: ?mode=dewf&user=ewfwef). I have cleaned it up now so that the URL for each page should be match the structure of the site. If you previously bookmarked a page it will still work but try to use the new addresses. This will help our rankings in the search engine.
